I. This blog is 18+! While there will never be NSFW here as Tenya is a minor, BNHA still tackles some pretty dark themes. Therefore, this blog will not be interacting with writers below 18.

II. Nudge me for responses every now and then. As of posting this pinned post, I am in my final year of university so my thesis and internship is my #1 priority. However, I still write as a means of leisure (which is pretty rare at this point) so I do have a tendency to miss responses. Feel free to poke me every once in awhile if I haven't responded in a week or two.

III. All ask memes can turn into threads. This is about 50% of how my threads start, to be honest. I will also be willing to cut threads and move them into a newer post for you.

IV. No godmodding. Pretty self-explanatory.

V. Both Tenya and Tetsuya are multiship. I’m quite open with any ship you try at me, romantic and platonic-wise! I don't think I can ever do exclusives with ships because I have fallen in love with different interpretations of the same ships.

VIII. This account is multifandom-friendly and TOTALLY open with blogs from fandoms I at least know a few things about. It might just take me awhile to flesh them out so I know how I can fit Tenya and Tetsuya in that specific universe.

IX. Anon is only on for ask memes that ask for anons. Any and all anon hate will be deleted and ignored.

X. IMS & Discord are for mutuals only! I use the IMS to talk to other muns to plot and such. If we’re not mutual, please don’t bug me to reply to you.

XI. I do not own any of the icons and art I use. I rarely post art but I will tag it as my own. All of the icons I use for Tenya are from other blogs I found on Tumblr. I tend to reblog some art of best boy and do tell me if you’re the artist of it and I’ll take it down if you wish!

have you ever worn an elaborate costume to a show?

most elaborate ive done was probably my cheerleader costume i wore for 1989 in sydney, where there are defs photos of somewhere lol. i had a massive sign saying 'she danced to forget him" which was the secret message in shake it off's linear notes (ogs will remember lol) and the costume itself was my school sport socks (bc they were navy and yellow lol), a blue skirt and a white singlet with the TS transfer papered on.

i'm not even really going elaborate for eras, im just kinda wearing a vibes outfit based on lover.

have you ever sat front row for a show?

okay so this question is quite complex. because ive been to some very small and intimate niche gigs where front row isnt much of a flex (keiino in sydney springs to mind, fred touched my had which thinking about it... lol) so we can kinda discount that.

so in terms of actually impressive front rows!

in 2014 i was in the pit during katy perry's prism tour in sydney. due to circumstances i dont really want to discuss online due to it Not Being My Place and This Post Not Being the Right Place, my mum, aunt, sister, cousin and I got in to the pit. we got lanyards with "purple prismatic section" or something, its the reason i have prism on CD bc it came with the package. to put this in perspective, this is the stage and i was in the triangle:

in other news, the most impressive front row i have had was chef'special in haarlem. when i say the giant flag that comes out during amigo literally brushed on my head, i am not kidding. its more impressive than katy perry in the sense that katy perry i had a vip package that entitled me to the purple prismatic section, where as this was all GA. i think it was also the first time being that close meant something to me too, but i walked out of patronaat haarlem a changed woman.

high heels and all the stops or sensible shoes?

sensible especially if ur GA. I mighhhht wear heals to eras bc of my outfit, but i'll have a seat and will probs sit down during the slower eras like folklore and evermore. overall, concerts are a strain to the feet and i do not wanna make it worse.

and the i immediately repeat myself but decatur street guitar and taz amnesty guitar Have The Same Vibes and i am LIVING for these vibes makes me wanna stomp and dance and also learn to play guitar

new ladybug is.. smooth, but like velvet or satin.. og ladybug is peppy and jaunty and this version is still very lighthearted and happy but also more..resonant? like warm smooth wood and the hint of a smile

brown of gold verse chorus verse transitions are top notch, also that intense end part morphing into the record player ambience very good

follow through should be unbearably cheesy but somehow manages not to be? im impressed. the piano and guitar work together so well i never consciously noticed them separately.. feel like this one shows brians growth most of all songs, hes come so far since the yt version and it makes me emotional to think about so i simply wont (tight now...later though?oh boy)

tug of war kid is one of my favourite songs.  extremely satisfying base.envelops you. the whole song surrounds you and also thrums deep in ur bones (and, dare i say, soul). return of shakey percussion thingy pt.3 i seem to subconsciously love this instrument and really should find out what its called. the contrast of the soft high verses and the strong vocals at the end? sexy. lyrics? evocative. this song is understood with the heart as much as with the brain. just how i like it. also has bugs. im pro bugs.

i firmly expected to not cry, and i didnt cry per se, but i did get a lil misty eyed. i just love bigger sky so so so much. the guitar is beautiful, the vibes are impeccable, the lyrics are very much a big mood (and also what made me cry when i heard it the first time, i was not prepared for this one to hit close to home and listening again so intently made that more apparent again) and they make me feel a range of nuanced emotions; all three of them are singing which is just a straight up blessing, especially fond of the ‘out of the city’ bit. i am officially renewing my promise to learn to play this song. if i cant figure out the tab for uke then damnit i will make my tiny hands learn to play guitar. i love this song.so.much.

this ones mine has simultaneously a very specific vibe and also the feeling of a random very vague childhood memory, something ordinary but just a snippet and you couldn't even say what it is a memory of, not just that you cant describe the details, but you are remembering something, a fragment of a complex emotion. idk. im not sure i understand the lyrics really but i also settled into not needing to understand them, i will simply vibe with this song

if must be a dream had existed in 2016 i wouldve cried over it so much and made even more art journal entries about it (saying this as if i didnt make a journal page based on this when it came out..) it has some really really good lines and again the kinda crescendo/build up of the instruments and also again the cello (contrabass?) its subtle in this one but its very very good

hhhhhhhhhhh see the day. i feel like everything has been said about this song already and yet i cannot shut up about it. its too good. its perplexing. i dont understand how this can possibly still hit so hard. at this point its not even connected to the emotional rollercoaster of dances moving. this song is just so so lovely(both versions in different ways but i will stick to silo version). the baseline in this song? ive actually noticed before bc it is just so frigging cool. and all the lil tinkling and soft backing vocals and idek what? distorted guitars? at the top they all make this version positively ethereal and its so delicate, somehow translucent? has the vibes of a steven universe sky at sunset. and then the drop(???) is like letting out a breath you've been holding for too long, its this simultaneously carefree and slightly melancholy dancing, a weight off ur shoulders but still a slightly heavy heart, eyes closed and not-quite-smiling-yet, but when the song is done you slowly come to a stop out of your last slow twirl and open ur eyes  as the percussion fades out taking most of the sadness with it and there it is a soft little smile

i had half a thought to make a fancy stab at newtons first lyrics and newtons first law but i dont think i can do that right now bc im too many thots head full (of emotions) and also i feel like im not the person to do this, idk i dont vibe as hard with newtons first as other people do, not bc i dont like it but it just doesnt connect to my experiences as much? i guess? anyways i am very in awe of jonahs songwriting for this one especially and also very much appreciate his voice

conclusion: silo !!!! good!! i wanna make art and also dance and sing and cry a little but like a cathartic soft cry, lie in a meadow, hug the moon and also sierra jonah and brian for being beautiful talented humans who shared this incredible gift with the world

With a sigh she gazes at the awfully bright screen and finds herself frowning before her mind can even process. She doesn’t even get to unlock her phone before another message comes in.

Sitting up straighter, she finally unlocks her phone.

With a sigh, Xildi weighs her options before realizing there’s not exactly one. Her fingers move fast as she types her reply.

Moments pass, and the elf is torn whether or not she wants to return to her trance. She wonders how pissed Shadowheart would be if she accidentally left her on read, and decides that it’s likely not worth finding out.

Most likely because something is wrong, but getting the half-elf to admit that is half the battle. Huffing, Xildi shuffles off the bed and begins traversing to her kitchen. Might as well get a snack if she’s about to be up all night waiting for whatever is wrong with her friend. 

Her phone buzzes as she’s prepping a light snack for herself, at least signaling that Shadowheart didn’t pass out on her. Scratch wakes as well, trotting into the kitchen and wagging his tail in hopes for a midnight snack as well.

Xildi rolls her eyes, it wasn’t her fault that Shadowheart blabbed it out when she was drinking too much wine at Wyll’s party. Either way, the story did already peak her interest and Xildi found herself approaching her couch with warm toast.

Xildi blanches. She’s coming over, now? She’s hardly well dressed for visitors, practically in her underwear and hair a mess. Not to mention that the place was in an array (not really, but in her eyes it was a pigsty that couldn’t be seen by anyone else’s eyes).

It starts processing in her head. Shadowheart doesn’t live far, perhaps 15 minutes minimum if she takes the bus, but there aren’t any at this hour. At least she’s pretty sure there’s none.  So she’s walking, that gives her probably an extra 10 minutes. Then she’s reminded of how incredibly dangerous that is to begin with -- but it’s Shadowheart and she likely doesn’t care to begin with. She grew up in this neighborhood, this is nothing!

Oh. Xildi knows her cheeks are warm, because never has Shadowheart ever been so forward. A heavy breath leaves her lips as she knows she has no choice now but to let her come over and likely listen to this voice mail with her. Whatever comes afterward will be another story she’s sure.

Frantically Xildi shoves the now cold toast into her mouth and begins cleaning at an incredible pace. She starts with the kitchen, disturbed that she even let there be dirty dishes to begin with. A few minutes later and she’s drying her hands, curiously peaking over at her phone to see if anything else has come through. Thankfully nothing and she sets off for her bedroom.

It only takes a few more minutes to tidy up before she goes back to retrieve her phone.

Xildi purses her lips, it was awfully late for Lae’zel to be out and about. Now that she thinks upon it, she does recall Astarion’s door closing roughly ten minutes or so ago. Interesting.

Dropping her phone onto the bed, Xildi falls back and stares up at her ceiling. She’s already on a roller coaster of emotions, she can’t imagine what must be barreling through Shadowheart at the moment. Scratch trots into her room, whining slightly before laying on the floor by the foot of her bed. 

Her phone buzzes again and she lazily reaches across her bed to find it. She doesn’t even get a chance to look at the screen before it drops on her face with a defiant thud. Groaning she picks it off her face and squints at the bright device.

Xildi decides that staring aimlessly at her ceiling is her best way to waste time, not finding energy to do much else. She knows Shadowheart arrives when the door creaks open slowly, and Scratch jumps from his spot on the floor and sprints out of the room. She can hear the light grunt from the half-elf as the dog nearly knocks her over, a fragile laugh echoing the silence as claws scratch along the wooden floor.

It thankfully doesn’t take long for Scratch to settle, Xildi notes from the sudden silence. There are light steps, from both the dog and Shadowheart as they approach her room and the elf gradually rises herself into a more approachable position. Finally their eyes meet in the dim room and she can just tell how worn Shadowheart is.

“Hey,” comes lightly from Xilid as she offers a faint smile. She figures if anything she should try to be welcoming. 

Something close to a response comes from Shadowheart who sulks into the room, dropping her backpack on the way. She practically falls face first onto the bed and lets out what Xildi assumes is a much needed breath.

Tentatively, the elf places a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

“Do you want to change first?”

“I guess.”

So it was going to be a difficult night -- morning? Xildi isn’t sure anymore. Gradually Shadowheart rises from her spot and keeps her gaze away from the elf, absolutely avoiding the pressing matter on hand. The tension stays thick as she digs through her backpack and eventually pulls some sweats out.

Pointendly looking away, Xildi focuses on the ceiling once more as Shadowheart changes. A few quiet moments pass before the mattress shifts and the half elf hesitantly lays down next to her. Now two sets of eyes focus on the white popcorn.

Shadowheart is silent for a long time -- long enough that the elf fears that she has fallen asleep. Just when she’s about to ask, she hears Shadowheart say “I don’t even know if I want to hear what they have to say.”

Xildi shifts her gaze to a troubled Shadowheart who still casts her hard stare to the ceiling. “Do you think you’d be better not knowing?”

“No,” comes first, followed shortly by “I don’t know”.

Finally dark green eyes meet Xildi, ones filled with exhaustion and definitely some fear. The elf can’t help but wonder of all the horrors her friend(?) grew up with in that orphanage. “I could always listen to it, so you don’t have to.”

“And hold it against me?”

“You know I wouldn’t do that.”

Something close to a soft smile eases its way onto Shadowheart’s face, scooting closer and resting her cheek on Xildi’s shoulder. The half-elf’s phone does a light drop on her stomach, almost as an invitation before she sighs. 

Taking the hint, the elf lifts Shadowheart’s phone and goes to unlock it. Truthfully it felt wrong to be even doing that, but she figured if she didn’t there was no way in hell Shadowheart would. A light mutter from her side tells her the passcode that she already secretly knows from another drunken night, and she quickly exits her messages before seeing something she might not meant to be. 

Hell, she shouldn’t be navigating her phone to begin with. 

Her thumb taps the phone app and she feels Shadowheart tense against her, digits gripping her arm. “We could always listen to it later.”

“No,” says Shadowheart as she glares at her own phone. “I didn’t come all this way to continue ignoring it.”

With a slow nod, Xildi continues and clicks on the voicemail tab. She’s only a little surprised to see a few from Gale and Wyll, from today even, but ignores it for the sake of seeing the number sticking out like a thumb between it all. Tentatively she glances to the woman beside her, who holds a fierce look before she taps the number to play the voicemail. 

It starts casual enough, the shuffling of papers, stating who is calling and stating that they were looking for, yes indeed, Shadowheart. To this day Xildi is shocked that they truly messed up her birth certificate that badly. Just when they’re both thinking that the call is a fluke, that they’re trying to bait her back into calling without anything, they hear: “Please call us back when you can, we believe we might have found information about your parents.”

It clicks.

Shadowheart is still, terrifyingly so.

Xildi glances from the phone in her hand, to Shadowheart who is practically cuddling her side, to her white popcorn ceiling. Even she is unsure if it’s the truth or a white lie to get back in communication with her.

“I hate them,” comes quietly from Shadowheart, who’s biting so hard on her lip that blood dares to drip. “I hate them so much.”

Xildi remains quiet, completely and utterly unsure of how to proceed with this new information. A part of her feels that she shouldn’t have just heard this voicemail. She can only imagine how Shadowheart would have handled the news alone. Poorly, if she really has to guess.

Said woman exhales loudly, her grip on Xildi’s arm tightening before gradually loosening. Her breath is fragile for a moment, teetering on the edge of likely tears -- the elf doesn’t dare to look -- before mellowing out to an extent. She shifts slightly before sitting up and crossing her legs. 

“I don’t even know if I want to meet them.”

Her voice is so fragile, unlike herself, that it takes Xildi by surprise. She’s sitting up faster than she can imagine and wastes no time placing a hand over Shadowheart’s own. The very least she can do right now is be supportive. “You don’t have to any time soon.”

Briefly the half-elf tenses from the touch. “They left me there.”

“Sometimes there’s not a choice,” says Xildi with a frown, remembering her own past all too well. She wonders if her brothers are still well even after all this time. “Even so, because of that it led to us meeting, right?”

“Look at you, trying to make this positive,” scoffs Shadowheart, but the faintest of smiles shines. Their eyes lock for a few seconds and the same butterfly feeling stirs in Xildi’s stomach. “It’s crazy how one even can change everything. That orphanage was shit, but it led me to Shar -- something to believe in.”

“Are you thinking how things might’ve been different if you grew up with them?”

Shadowheart tilts her head. “My parents? A little,” pursing her lips, she gazes intently at the wall behind Xildi. “I hate that they left me in that awful place, never once tried to get in contact with me. And now I despise that the orphanage is trying to bring me back.”

“You don’t have to go, or even call back.” With a reassuring smile, Xilid takes her hand back and runs it idly through her hair. “If you’re happy where you are, why change it?”

The half elf pauses, as if Xildi’s words struck her like a bolt of lightning. Her gaze shifts from the wall to her lips, then to her eyes. “Would you change anything?”

“Me?” A bit baffled, Xildi raises a brow before shrugging it off. “A few things here and there sure, but I suppose it’s often better to let destiny take its course.”

“You think us meeting is destiny? That’s cute.”

Xildi gives Shadowheart a look, despite it all there’s something deeper that she’s not inherently saying. It gives her an inkling that somewhere inside, she’s actually agreeing with her -- and that they should continue letting it. Her heart skips in her chest, unsure whether to take the advance before she manages a response. “Do you disagree?”

A long silence fills the air, as if Shadowheart is weighing her options carefully. What is likely only a moment or two feels like an eternity, dragging on and eating away at Xildi until finally -- finally! -- the bed shifts underneath Shadowheart’s weight and the woman is sitting next to her. Polished nails gently scratch at Xildi’s fingers before resting. “No, I don’t think so. In fact…” trailing off, Shadowheart uncharastically fails to meet Xildi’s gaze. “I think you should let it take its course, right now.”

Oh.

Mustering up all of her courage, Xildi leans forward and lifts her free hand, cupping one of Shadowheart’s cheeks. Her skin is warm and soft against her cool hands, a dull reminder of how chilly she prefers to keep her room. Her heart is pounding against her chest as she leans closer. She can see all of her eye lashes, how they begin to flutter nervously, and the dark hues of green in Shadowheart’s eyes. 

Her breath catches, perhaps the other’s too, before she sets her mind on it. Her chest practically explodes as she timidly presses her lips against Shadowheart’s, a full eruption of emotions consuming her as she suddenly gasps for air. How she frees her other hand to cup her other cheek, the need to feel incredibly close to her rising as her heart continues to pound. 

Shadowheart chuckles against her lips, the hot breath tickling her lips as she finds herself smiling. It’s not long before she goes again, parting her lips just enough to ensnare the half-elf’s lower lip. To feel how soft and full hers are against her own, the warmth that comes to her cheeks, face -- hell, her stomach too. All overwhelming but wonderful at the same time. She wasn’t aware how much she was craving this moment.

After what feels like an eternity (but definitely was a couple minutes at most), Xildi pulls herself away and shyly drops her hands to the bed. Her cheeks burn as she stares at a lopsided and completely goofy grin that stretches on Shadowheart’s face. Endearing? Absolutely.

“Perhaps… it was destiny -- us meeting that is.”

Xildi smiles. “Perhaps it was.”

After Archenemies 3/?

In honor of not getting on Tumblr tomorrow, here is part 3 of whatever this is to anyone who liked the first two parts. In all honesty idk what this part is, and it might be a little soon for what follows, but I wasn't planning on making this fic long anyways so...yeah. Nova’s communicator band had gone off three times in the past hour. She had taken it off and set it on her mattress after it first went off. She didn't need the distraction, especially if that distraction was Adrian Everhart.

“Why are you still staring at that thing?” Nova looked up to see Honey in the doorway of their shared room, leaning against the cracked door frame. She was examining her polished nails. “If you look at it any longer, the filthy Renegade will be able to turn back to normal.”

Nova pushed back the chair she was sitting on in front of Honey’s vanity where Danna’s butterfly was currently trapped. It remained immobile for the most part. When Nova would start to worry if it had died, it would crawl around its little prison. “Just thinking.” About her uncle. About how they would be able to free him from the Renegades. About Nightmare. About a certain Renegade boy.

She closed her eyes, feeling a headache forming at the base of her neck.

“Well, you can think and answer your little Renegade buddies.” Honey gestured towards the communicator band resting on top of a jewelry box. “That ringing is driving me nuts. I can hear it all the way downstairs.”

Nova rolled her eyes, but picked up the band nonetheless. “It’s only gone off three times, Honey. Don’t be so dramatic.”

“Me? Not dramatic?” Honey laughed, the sound like bells. “In your dreams, sweet girl.” She strutted into the room, reached over Nova, grabbed a magazine that was open on her vanity, and sauntered back out. Her perfume lingered, stronger than ever. Nova waved her hand in front of her face. Vintage fumes were the last thing she needed for her aching head.

Her communicator band went off again, and she heard Honey yelling from the first floor to shut it off before she did. Nova looked down at the device, scrolling through her notifications. The first one, nearly an hour ago, was from Adrian.

This is last minute, but we’re meeting in the HQ library in about 30 minutes, Let me know when you get here. It’s about Nightmare.

Nova froze. That couldn’t be good. This was it, she thought. They figured her out, and this was Adrian trying to lure her into a trap to arrest her.

Taking a deep breath, she checked the next message, which was sent twenty minutes after the first.

Nova? Are you busy? If not, please respond.

The third one was five minutes after the first.

Of course you’re busy. You would’ve responded by now. Ignore my last message.

The most recent text was sent two minutes ago.

Nova? We’re all here. You’re not dead or something, are you? Please tell me you aren’t because I would be really upset.

Nova snorted, shoulders relaxing in relief. She believed she was safe, for the time being. She bit her lip, thinking of a response.

Hey. Sorry. Turns out I’m pretty sick, and my uncle took anything that could distract me so I could rest.

Nova thought back to a few days before, when she had pretended to feel under the weather in order to have an excuse to leave the visit to Max. She couldn’t stand to be there any longer without being weighed down by the guilt. It was a believable lie. Besides, she didn’t have time to do detective work with Adrian on her secret identity, nor did she have the patience for it. The quicker she and the rest of the Anarchists figured out a way to free Ace, the sooner she could drop the ridiculous Renegade charade.

Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Do you want me to come by later to give you some company?

The smile that grew on Nova’s face was inevitable, along with the giddy spark in her stomach. She suppressed it though, and denied his offer, pushing away all thoughts of being able to curl up against Adrian while they did something as mundane as watching a movie.

No, thank you though. My uncle is pretty strict whenever I get sick and doesn’t like visitors. Maybe another time?

She received a response almost immediately.

Definitely! I hope you get to feeling better, Nova.

It was so sweet. Nova’s heart ached. Even though she wasn’t sick, she had a feeling she would feel better soon anyways.

Nova sent the text. She debated on whether or not to send something else. Something came to mind, and she immediately cringed. Then Ace’s words floated through her mind. Earn his affection.

Well.

With a defeated sigh, Nova reluctantly sent a text with a heart.

Sweet rot, her IQ just dropped by 20.

Downstairs, Honey started singing. Nova suspected she was cleaning; she tended to sing when fixing up the old house. Nova groaned. Honey wasn’t a terrible singer, but it did not mix well with Nova’s pounding head. Maybe she was actually getting sick.

Standing from the vanity, Nova brushed off her leggings. The butterfly was moving in its prison, crawling lazily along the side of the glass. Nova bent down to eye level with it. She could’ve sworn it made eye contact with her.

“I’m sorry it has to be this way,” she murmured. “Maybe in a different reality we’d be friends.” She meant it, much as she hated to admit it to herself. Danna was a lot like her; it was a shame they were too alike, for that’s what got Danna trapped in the first place.

Nova sighed and rose back up. She took off her communicator band, then reached for her coat lying on the bed and headed downstairs. Honey’s trilling voice grew louder. She was singing some song about the beauty of the southern countryside.

Leroy was seated in the dimly lit kitchen, surrounded by lab equipment. Nova saw the samples of Agent N she had snatched in the past few weeks. He nodded in Nova’s direction as form of greeting, too engulfed in his work. As Nova suspected, Honey was cleaning. She was standing on a towel on top of the counter, wiping a wet rag across the higher cabinets.

Nova cleared her throat. “I’m going for a walk. You guys need anything while I’m out?”

They both chorused a “No.” Nova nodded.

“I’ll be back, then.”

“Hey, Adrian...um… come check this out,” Ruby whispered hesitantly from the computer across his. Adrien looked up from his communicator band, the faint trace of a smile on his lips from Nova’s last text. The heart was unexpected, and frankly, not like Nova at all, but it radiated Adrien’s body in warmth. The concentrated set in Ruby’s eyes made the smile fade, however.

They were in the Renegade library and archives, doing research on Nightmare. Adrian had about five open tabs about her most recent sightings and activity. One of the tabs was an article discussing the identity of the Anarchist, but the information was of no use to Adrian.

He got out of his chair and walked around the table to stand behind Ruby. Next to her, Oscar leaned over, craning his neck to see the screen. There was an unopened file in front of Ruby.

“So I was thinking about what you told us, about Nightmare being Ace Anarchy’s niece?” Adrian nodded, and Ruby continued. “Well, his last name is Artino, correct?” Adrian nodded again. “I looked up the name, and well, I guess you should see for yourself.” She clicked on the file. It was a report from about ten years ago filed by his own dad, Hugh Everhart.

Four people found dead. David Artino: age 31. Tala Artino: age 30. Evie Artino: age 11 months. One unnamed man: age unknown. Suspected Anarchist or Roach affiliation.

Forensics confirm all deaths were a result of direct trauma from bullet wounds, without prodigy interference. Prints found on the gun matched both those of the unnamed man and also those of Alec Artino (alias: Ace Anarchy).

There is reason to suspect the deaths of the three family members were done as a killing for hire. The motive for the homicide remain under investigation. See the full report as filed by Hugh Everhart (Captain Chromium) here.

Additional notes: The eldest child, a six year old girl, was not found at the scene. Neighbors have reported no knowledge of her whereabouts. A report has been made to the Renegades missing persons unit.

Oscar whistled lowly. Ruby had highlighted the last paragraph. She was watching the two boys, lips pursed. Adrian read the report, over and over again. Something about it wasn’t right.

“Was the girl ever found?” Oscar asked. Ruby answered his question by opening another file. This one was a missing persons form, dated ten years ago.

Below the information was a fuzzy picture of a girl, taken by an outdated camera probably. She grinned at the person behind the camera, a wide gap below her upper lip where two front teeth should have been. In her arms was a newborn baby, fast asleep in her sister’s arms. Adrian let out a small gasp. He took the mouse from Ruby and zoomed in on the girl’s face. Her features were chubby, but the hard set of her jaw was unmistakable.

“Great skies,” Oscar breathed. “That’s not...it can’t be..”

Wilder was nervous, very very nervous as he drove into town. He had Daniel with him along with his brother and his boyfriend. He didn't know how this would all go, but he hoped it would go well. Smiling over to Daniel, Wilder took his hand. He had told them all to dress nice as he was paying and they were going out to Italian. Bring his hand up to his lips, Wilder kissed the back of it. Caelan couldn't help but grin to see his love's brother so happy, his own hand slipping into Gabe's as they rode along.

Daniel was smiling sitting in the front of the car, not able to take his eyes of Wilder, how good he looked in his suit. He was looking forward to the night and celebrating their anniversary. It was nice to have his brother andhis boyfriend with them too even if it was needed to go to town. He smiled when Wilder kissed the back of his hand. Gabe smiled from the back seat, happy for his brother and Daniel but also glad to get some time in town with Caelan.

Wilder held his hand tightly all the drive to the restaurant. It was all ready and planned, stepping from the car and into the place. He ushered everyone in before him and walked up to the hostess giving his name. They were seat towards the back, making it private but still open as well. Sitting close to Daniel, his hand was on the boy's knee. Wilder looked over the menu, though his mind was somewhere else. Caelan leaned into Gabe as the menus were pulled. "How can your brother pay for all this?" he whispered as the prices were high.

Daniel had no idea what Wilder had planned and was already surprised when he mentioned town and dinner but he did say he had something special and after his birthday he wasn't going to question it. It didn't take too long to get to town, a drive he was very famiilar with and soon then were at the restaurant and being ushered inside. It was nice and they sat all together, Gabe and Caelan facing he and Wilder. He wasn't sure what he wanted, everything looked good. Gabe leaned in and smiled. "He must've saved the money mom and dad gave us."

Wilder sighed as he let himself calm down. There was still some time before he would do his plan. The waiter came by for their drink orders, Wilder placed his and waited as everyone else did. Their food order taken as well, Wilder sat back and pulled Daniel slightly to have him lay against him more. He decided it would be good to talk at the table and pass time. "So Gabe, how you been?" He asked, wanting to relieve some of the tension he had in him. Caelan grinned to let the others talk.

Daniel reached out for his water glass and took a drink. Soon their drinks and food were ordered and he leaned back a little, smiling at Wilder, leaning against his side a bit. Gabe slipped his hand into Caelans, rubbing the back of it with this thumb and smiled at his brother. "Me oh good, very good. Had fun at the dance, and the presentation should go well so other than that, writing somet stuff and enjoying life, you know me. And hey Daniel, happy belated birthday."

Wilder sat back, relaxing as his brother replied and listen to him talk to Daniel even. It made him happy that they got along and could be friends. He wanted that, his family to like and get along with Daniel, he was very over them having their problems with each other. Drinks and food soon came as the small talk went on. Wilder sat up some, trying his food and even sharing it with Daniel as they ate. "happy two years, baby." he whispered, pressing a marinara kiss to his lips.

Daniel smiled and nodded. "Thank you. We were kind of bummed that the dance fell on the night but then figured hell it's a party, look at the brightside," he laughed. "And I did do birthday stuff before with Wilder and Sunday with the family so it was good." The food looked amazing; he was into his carbinara when Wilder leaned in and spoke to him. He grinned and reached up to kiss him back. "Mm... happy two years to you too." Gabe smiled at them, happy for his brother and leaned over to kiss Caelan on his cheek. "Love you."

Wilder chuckled some as he tasted Daniel's food on his lips. Caelan blushed, turning and kissing Gabe before smearing sauce on his cheek. "love you too, stalker." Wilder raised his brow, then looked to his twin. "Okay, explain that to me." he laughed a little more as his hand rubbed up and down Daniel's side.

Daniel reached up and wiped the side of his mouth with his thumb. Gabe laughed and grabbed his napkin to wipe it off. "Hey this is good food, no wearing it." Hekissed him back. He was going to reply with his usual line about Caelan being the prey but Wilder spoke instead and Gabe blushed. "The stalker part? It's not creepy I promise. It stems back to when we first met. We talked online for a bit but hadnt met in person and I was finally determined to find him and did eventually, in the dark room. He called me it once and it stuck."

Wilder brow was still raised as he looked to Daniel then to Caelan. Caelan nodded and laughed. "yeah, he stalked me out after walking around naked for my twin." Wilder nodded, "Alright and I thought our story was odd." Smiling to Daniel and squeezing his knee. Wilder went back to eating, offering bites to Daniel here and there before his plate was empty and he leaned back rubbing his stomach. "Good food, right?" Asking the table.

Daniel raised an eyebrow and then laughed. "Why did you walk around for Sebastian? Wait, never mind, dont want to know." He grinned and took another bite from Wilder. "Ours is odd, but that's just another level." He pat Wilder on the thigh and worked to finish off his plate. "God yes I'm stuffed." Gabe finally finised his last bite himself and leaned back. "You might have to carry me Cael, I can't move," he laughed. "But seriously, Wilder, thank you," he said smiling and winked. "Not sure how it could have been better."

Wilder grinned to see everyone full, and Caelan patting gabe's cheek to call him a big baby. He paid the tab and stood slowly. "You're welcome, why don't we go walk this off?" Taking Daniel's hand into his own as they stepped out into the night. Not far from the place was a lit up fountain, colors beamed with each spray. He started to slow his walk, looking over to Daniel. Wilder stopped though as they reached the edge of it, Caelan stopping Gabe to give them space, and starting to take photos of them both. "Pretty isn't it?" Wilder ask Daniel.

Daniel felt happy and content. Gabe laughed and leaned into kiss Caelan, shooshing him. They all nodded and got up, Gabe taking Caelan's hand and Daniel taking WIlder's when offered. It was a crisp night but not too bad. They stopped at the fountain and Daniel leaned over to look at it. Gabe stayed back with Caelan and smiled at him, keeping just back to stay out of the camera way. Daniel looked back up again and smiled as he stood. "Yeah it is. I've always loved this thing especially in the winter around Christmas."

Wilder nodded, "Can't wait to see that." he whispered as if he would ruin the moment. "I have a gift i made for you that I want you to look at right now." Bring him over for them to sit on a bench by the fountain. Wilder pulled out a small book with picture in it, picture of them from the last two years. It showed many events throughout all they had been through, the last page was a note that read, "Daniel William Schuester, will you marry me?" As Daniel looked, Wilder dropped to one knee and waited with the ring in hand. The moment he dropped down, Caelan started to rapid fire pictures and fight back the urge to scream.

Daniel nodded. "It's great downtown during the holidays." He looked at his boyfriend and smiled. "More gifts, you've given more so many already." Daniel moved to the bench smiling at Caelanand Gabe who just stayed away from them a bit. He smiled at the book, at the picture of them and then the more of them inside, laughing as he remembered some of the events. "Where did you find all-" Then Daniel got to the last page and blinked, just sure he'd read it right and looked up. To find Wilder sliding to his need and the book fell from his hands, landing in his lap. He looked down and then back to Wilder again. Gabe was practically bouncing on his feet; he wanted to grab Cael but he didn't want to ruin the pictures. Daniel felt himself get choked up. "Are you fucking serious right now?" he said, laughing as he swore. He looked into those blue eyes and leaned in close to him, kissing him hard. "Yes. All the time, yes."

Wilder nodded to him, feeling the tears prick his eyes as he kissed him back just as hard. "Really? Really?" he laughed, pulling him close and shaking hands put the ring on Daniel's finger. "I love you so much, god I can't believe you said yes." he laughed, kissing him again. Caelan beamed, setting his camera down as he hugged his own boyfriend and kissed him softly. "That was epic." he whispered to Gabe. "Glad i got it on film for them."

Daniel slowly smiled and reached for him as the ring slipped on his finger. "I love you so much. I never thought you'd ask but how could I say no." He leaned in kissing him again, not caring who saw. "Whooo!" Gabe exclaimed and hugged Caelan. "That was awesome." Gabe kissed him softly. I'm so glad you did too. Mom, Dad and Blaine are going to flip."

Wilder shook his head, smiling and kissing his fiance. Oh god, his fiance over and over again. "I didn;t think you'd say yes." he whispered back, kissing him again. The world around them was forgotten as he stood and picked Daniel up as well, spinning him. Caelan kissed Gabe back, smiling as he called to his twin. Wilder pulled from the kiss, and chcukled. Daniel didn't know what to say, he couldn't stop looking at Wilder, still so stunned. "Why, what else would I say? I love you." He laughed as he was lifted off the bench and hugged the other. Gabe leaned up and kissed Caelan and smiled. He grinned. "Anytime Wild, congratulations you too."

Wilder didn't let go of Daniel, his arm around his waist as they walked back to Gabe and Caelan. He hugged his twin and his boyfriend, thanking them again as they headed back to the car. With Daniel leaning against him, Wilder kissed his cheek and couldnt' stop smiling. He had said yes, they were really in love and now they had something more to show just how much. Once in the car, Wilder held his hand. Caelan grinned to Gabe. "You've got a lot to live up to, so you know."

Daniel walked beside Wilder, an arm over his shoulder, smiling wide and feeling nothing but blissfully happy. He hugged the other two boys, glad they could help make this night what it was. Soon they were all back in Wilder's car, Daniel with a hand across his back playing with his hair and the others in the back. They laced fingers when Daniel moved hs hand down. Gabe laced his fingers with Caelan's and smiled. "OhI do hmmm? Well I have time. I hope we're that kind of happy after two years. Though if 6 months is a good indicator, yeah I think we will."

Wilder drove maybe a little faster then before as he got back to campus. He hugged Gabe and Caelan bye, thanking them again before letting them walk off. Once they were gone, Wilder pulled Daniel close, hands on his lower back as he nuzzled his cheek and jaw. "Hmm my fiance...god I don't think I'll ever want to stop saying that."

Daniel felt like it took no time at all for them to get back to the school. They all piled out, he and Wilder hugging Caelan and Gabe good bye. He reached for the tie and pulled the other closer to him and smirked. "And you know how I love you in this color too."

Wilder grinned to him, letting himself be pulled forward. "We can discuss last names later." he murmured, his hips pressing to Daniel's as he rolled them harshly to him. "I think right now, we should enjoy each other out of these suits." Words coming out like a purr that he only used to seduce and knew how to seduce Daniel with it. Grabbing his tie in return, Wilder turned and led him along to the bedroom.

Daniel laughed and nodded. "Definitely we can." He growled a bit when he felt Wilder pressed against him, gasping as he thrust hard into him. "I think that's a very good idea. You are definitely wearing too much." Fuck if the way he sounded didn't go straight to his cock. Daniel stepped forward as his tie was tugged on and they made their way back to Wilder's room.

mina isn’t the type to feel ashamed of herself. everyone around her new that she was confident and outspoken. whatever she thought of inside her head, there would be a 59% chance she’d say it with a 41% chance she’d keep it to herself just because she had some manners. of course, she had some class by making a bunch of rant posts on her spam rather than on her main instagram or main twitter. some of her thoughts on real life would go on her stan twitter, but she’s tried her best to keep that mainly kpop and movies. but, to be honest, she wouldn’t have made a spam had it not been for her mutuals and her friends in real life. 

this time, however, she felt emotions that she was afraid to tell anyone else. 

she usually watched the gayos on her own, since she was the only one in the house who had an interest in them because her favorite idols were on that show. however, the one she always kept an eye on was mbc’s gayo daejejun because of the amazing stages that the idols would perform. not to mention, it was the gayo with the countdown to the new year. however, this time, she debated if she even wanted to watch it considering that this was the same exact one that she made a video audition for, only to not get in. 

when she saw the post on mbc’s page, she was disappointed, but not surprised. it was bold of her to assume she would ever get the chance compared to the other dancers. when she watched the other entries, she was already beginning to feel insecure. but seeing the announcement only supported her negative feelings. however, one name catches her eye and it’s the main reason why she watches the music show tonight. 

chungha isn’t the only reason why she’s watching this, but she’s the one mina looks forward to seeing the most. it’s weird how almost two years ago, mina became a fan from watching her on the fourth season of the mgas. now, she was watching her as not only a fan, but a friend. it’s only a glow up she can talk about on her spam, but she’s able to use her excitement for her tweets while streaming. 

she makes sure to tweet about her favorite idols and their performances before the awaited dance performance comes. when it begins, she quickly takes out her phone as she patiently waits for her friend to be shown on her screen. she manages to record the 30 seconds of chungha’s dance on her instagram story while whisper-screaming throughout all of it. “ahh!!! kim chungha is so cool!!!! she’s the coolest unnie ever!!!” and a bunch of “wow!”’s and “so cool!”’s. for the group performance, she kept all her excitement on her twitter with a few pictures saved for her spam later on. 

it’s odd. before watching this, she thought she was going to feel an overwhelming amount of jealousy just by seeing chungha for a second. but after the performance ended, she couldn’t help but feel inspired. perhaps it was because of the fact that this wasn’t the first time she’s seen chungha on national television, but mina didn’t feel too upset like she thought she would. what a relief. 

she posts the pictures on her spamsta (spam + finsta) once the countdown for the new year is finished and captions it with her thoughts. after she posted it, she locked her phone, turned off her tv, and went upstairs to go to bed, excited for what was to come in the future.

i’m gonna work hard with future covers so that i can hopefully be dancing on that same stage!!!!!!!!! it’d be cooler if it was w her!!!! but yeah. hopefully if i work hard enough, i can be on the stage like her (and my cousin and brother if theyre reading this who knows)

having been on stan twitter since she moved back to korea, she’s gotten to explore the many sides of the website. though she’s primarily a kpop fan account, she also keeps tabs on film twitter. it’s to the point where she even has mutuals who are apart of that community and she frequently talks to them about her favorite movies (recently, it’s been about it 2 because she loves her best boys richie and eddie). so of course, when she asked for movie recommendations on her account, she hoped that said mutuals would see it and give their insight. 

though there were many suggestions, she chose lady bird by the end of it. she knew about the movie years ago, but she never really got around to watching it until now. she’s read mixed reviews, so she was never really able to form a solid opinion on this movie. she told herself not to expect much, since this was a coming-of-age film. but, by the end of it, she found herself in tears. she goes on twitter and writes up a tweet as a response to the movie.

before she’s about to make a tweet about watching midsommar next, she hears her phone vibrate. putting her laptop to the side, she picks up her phone and sees an email from snu. 

dear mina, 

the admissions committee at seoul national university has re-reviewed all aspects of your application in its holistic review process, and you have an updated admissions decision. you may now view your updated admissions decision in your portal.

she gasps. 

as she clicks on the link to her portal and logs in, she was immediately welcomed by the site with a big “CONGRATULATIONS!” and if that wasn’t already obvious enough for her, she looks around to find the little “status: accepted” on her page. she sighs in relief and puts her phone to the side as she lies on her bed. she’s not necessarily excited that she got into a school. even now, she was still questioning if she wanted to go to school to begin with. all she knew was that at this point, she was going somewhere. whether or not this is what she really wanted to do, she at least has an idea of where she’s starting. 

maybe now her mom would stop badgering her. maybe now she can show her that she could do things without her.

“i got accepted into snu today.”

it’s used to start discussion, even though she didn’t really want to talk about it with her. it had to come out somehow because even if she was nervous with how she was going to reply, at least her mom would be aware of it. 

her father was the first to say something about it and mina wants to verbally thank him for speaking before her mom does. “honey, congratulations! i knew you would be able to get into that school.” 

“thank you,” mina says with a small smile before she looks over at her mom to see what she will respond with because it was obvious she had something to say about it. 

“why did it take so long for a response?” she asks. “you applied for early decision, didn’t you?” 

it takes a lot for mina to not say something snarky in response. she’s not going to do that now. not so soon. “well, competition’s pretty tough. a lot of kids are applying for snu. especially in my class.” she wasn’t exactly lying, but it was a better response than “i was waitlisted for a month.” and even if she responded with that, at least she got into the school. wasn’t that enough? 

her mom lets out a small “hm” before eating more of their dinner. “well, good job on getting into that school. with how long the response took, i was starting to worry.” 

mina frowns. “i got into other schools, you know.” 

“but did you want to get into any of those other schools?” when mina’s silent for a response, her mother only continues. “you said that you were aiming for snu and it took long enough in order to get a response.” 

“can’t you just be happy over the fact that i actually got into the school?” mina asks, feeling her voice rise. “i thought you would be proud of me. is it that much of a surprise that i got in?” 

“all of your friends got accepted into their schools quicker.” mina feels her grip tighten on the chopsticks in her hands. “all i’m saying is you should’ve at least tried harder or at least recognize that you should’ve done better.” 

mina finds it hard to calm down after hearing that. it’s not like she didn’t expect a response like that, but to actually hear it from her makes her laugh bitterly. it’s sad to say she’s not surprised because this was what their relationship is at this point. even if she told herself that she just wanted to get into school in order to get her mom off her back, her words only make it seem like she was mocking her even if she reached at least the minimum. it made mina wish her mother lowered her expectations or at least make her own higher. 

she eats her food in a hurry, hoping to get out of this dinner as soon as possible. of course, her mother has an issue with it as she glared at her from across the table. “slow down. you look like an animal eating like that.” 

mina ignores her and she manages to empty her bowl, still trying to bite and swallow the leftover food in her mouth. she quickly stands up from her chair, puts her bowl and utensils in the sink, and runs upstairs, swallowing the last bit of her food down. she closes her door behind her even if she knows her mother was going to go up to her room anyways. when she hears the door open, she rolls her eyes before she turns to her mom. 

“can you knock?” the impatient tone was one she’s used frequently enough. whether or not she was proud of it, she kept that information to herself. 

her mother’s not afraid of it, though. in fact, if anything, she’s probably a professional at dealing with it. “you’re one to talk about manners,” she scolds. “what is with you?! at least try to stay for the entire dinner and not make it seem like you don’t like my company.” 

“why would i do that?” mina scoffs. “you’d yell at me for faking it, anyway.” 

her mom sighs. “why are you so selfish? why do you keep on doing this? do you understand how uncomfortable your father feels whenever we fight? how uncomfortable i feel?!” 

“i’m sorry for being upset over you not being a good mom,” she responds, crossing her arms as if to do the bare minimum of making fun of the woman in front of her who would do the same in their past arguments. “i got into a good school and all you can say is ‘i’m surprised they didn’t reject you straight up’? no ‘congratulations’ or ‘i’m happy you got into the school you wanted to get into’? shouldn’t you at least be glad over the fact that i’m going-” 

“how am i going to explain to the family that it took a few months for my daughter to tell me she got into snu after a few months since she applied?” her mom interrupts her, angering mina even more. “it didn’t take long for jaebeom to get his letter of acceptance. it didn’t take daniel long for him to know if he got in. do you know what they’ll say when i tell them you got accepted after countless times of me saying ‘oh i don’t know yet’, ‘she hasn’t received anything yet’? they’ll think i’m raising-” 

“what? an idiot?” mina laughs. “yeah. i’m sure everyone in the family’s already aware of the fact that i’m never going to be a lawyer living in america. at least i got into a school.” 

her mother then points at mina and she has to hold the urge to not swat the hand away from her face. “look at you! you’re already making yourself sound bad by acting like it’s a miracle they accepted you in the first place!” she criticizes. “you’re supposed to go to school. you’re supposed to get a degree in order to get a good job somewhere. after all your father and i’ve done for you and your brothers, why are you the only one who treats this like it’s not a big deal?!” 

“i am treating this like it’s a big deal!” mina asserts. “do you know how many nights i spent studying for tests that i knew i was going to fail? all the times i had to stay after school in order to make sure it wouldn’t affect my chances?! i worked so hard in the last few months to be accepted and i’m the only one in this room proud of myself for it! it’s like you’re actively trying to find reasons to be disappointed in me, even when i do something good!”

“maybe you should be trying to not constantly disappoint me, then.” her mother turns her back to her daughter and makes way for the door, but mina mutters something else that makes her stop in her steps.

“the one time i do something that i thought could impress you and you’re still disappointed in me.”

her mother doesn’t respond. all she does is stand for a moment before she leaves, not even bothering to close the door behind her.
